The British Council (British Council) announces that the application period for “Mentoring Program” within the framework of the "I-SEED: Innovation - Social Entrepreneurship and Education" project is open. The project has been implemented by the British Council in partnership with Chevron and the Akimat of Atyrau Oblast since 2017.
The I-SEED project is aimed at supporting socially active youth in Kazakhstan and creating conditions for sustainable solution of social issues through fostering social entrepreneurship. The project promotes the development of social entrepreneurship culture among active young Kazakhstani youth.
If you want to contribute to disclosing and nurturing entrepreneurial potential of the Atyrau youth as a mentor, then we would kindly ask you to fill in this form.
Requirements for potential mentors:
- to be an Atyrau citizen
- to have an experience in running social entrepreneurship (as an individual entrepreneur or executive director of a small or medium-sized enterprise) for 2 years
- eager to share and transfer knowledge and professional experience
- willingness to undergo successful communication and interaction training
- being committed to devote time for mentees following the principle that “the mentor directs, inspires, but does not force”
Selected candidates will undergo a two-day mentorship training which includes these topics:
1)How to become a good mentor
2)Perfect pitch rules
3)How to work with youth
