Within the British Council programme Creative Producers, from February 29 to March 1, the STYQ art festival will be held.

'STYQ festival -a two-day festival of contemporary, interdisciplinary art, that includes exhibitions, public talks and performative art program. This project engages the active local audience and becomes the platform for new creative collaborations.

Our mission: We create and promote new art projects through unity, empathy and experimentation.


-the intersection of day and night, seasons, time zones and decades
-the intersection of visual and fine arts, poetry, music, theatre, choreography and multimedia
-a union of separated audiences into the big movement, promoting local and international culture
-an intervention of contemporary art into the cityscape 


The first showcase festival’s topic is: “CONNECTION”


-February 1-28 – art laboratory at ARTMEKEN contemporary Gallery

-Feb 28 – Pre-event: music showcase by Qazaq Indie

-Feb 29 – March 1 – the festival

-Feb 29 – March 8 – “Connection” - new media exhibition 

During the STYQ festival we open the art laboratory. Artmeken gallery is the place for experiments and insights dure the STYQ. Here we collaborate between visual art, music, poetry, dance and theatre. A result of the art laboratory will be exposed on February 29 – March 1 at the STYQ.
