In Kazakhstan the Online Teacher Community (OTC) programme was launched in partnership with the National Centre for Professional Development (NCPD) Orleu of the Ministry of Enlightenment in September 2021.
This programme has engaged with over 3000 secondary school teachers of English from across Kazakhstan and has recently been extended to final year pre-service students of English studying in university faculties of education.
The aim of the programme is to improve standards of English language teaching and learning, to support the Ministry of Enlightenment of the Republic of Kazakhstan in developing a sustainable solution for professional development training for teachers of English, in introducing more digital solutions for teacher professional development and to help in reaching and supporting teachers of English in remote/rural areas.
