The British Council in Kazakhstan is pleased to announce an open call for participation in the Cultural Leadership Conference which will be organized in Astana, Kazakhstan, on 24-25 November 2017. We are inviting applications from cultural leaders who live in Kyrgyzstan and cities outside Almaty and Astana in Kazakhstan. Limited number of participants will be selected on the competitive basis by an expert jury.
Interested candidates should complete this application form by 23.59 (Astana time) 01 November 2017.
The organisers will contact successful candidates on the week of 5 November 2017.
Cultural Leadership Conference is 3-year international annual conference series in Astana to stimulate discussion and build relationships amongst cultural and creative economy leaders from government, private sector and civil society in UK and Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan).
The goal of the conference is to build an influential and engaged leadership network that drives forward the development of the cultural and creative economies of Central Asia in closer cooperation with the UK and contributes to enhanced economic and social development – ‘public good’ – in all participating countries.
The working language of the conference will be English and Russian with translation provided as required.
How will we score your application?
Applications will be checked for eligibility and then scored by a panel of experts from the British Council according to the criteria below.

The Conference will last two days. The cost of the travel, accommodation and meals for successful applicants will be covered by the organisers.
