The sponsor of the Atyrau Youth Development Initiative (further AYDI) is Chevron Corporation. The initiative is developed and managed by a coalition of the British Council, Impact Hub Almaty, and Urban Forum Kazakhstan. Each partner contributes to the development of young people in a specific direction.

Impact Hub Almaty
The Azamat 3.0 Atyrau – is an educational programme aimed to support students aged 18 to 24 in becoming active citizens through the development of their own projects. Urban Forum Kazakhstan
The Urban Forum Kazakhstan – is an independent institution for sustainable urban development in Kazakhstan, acting as a dialogue platform for all stakeholders, as a research and advocacy think tank, and as a center for capacity-building in civic initiatives in urbanism.
The Urban Forum Kazakhstan projects within the AYDI:
The Walkshop Atyrau – are a series of educational webinars offering its participants to take photos during their walks in one of the Atyrau districts. The pictures will be published in a special Instagram account of the project - @walkshopsatyrau. At the end of the project the organisers will publish a zine with the participants photos and notes about Atyrau. The webinars are designed for those interested in life and history of the city, as well as anthropology and urban studies, photography, and storytelling.
A public space in Atyrau. The Urban Forum Kazakhstan together with the Atyrau Akimat and Chevron Corporation are planning to build a new public space where children can play, local communities or young people can spend their time. It is planned to locate the space in the off-center of Atyrau and implement it in the upcoming spring of 2021.
