The mission of the project is to provide an opportunity for the development of the art through unity, empathy, and experiment. This year, the “STYQ” platform is opening a new direction “STYQ Online”, within which the very first public program will take place from March 29 to April 11.
“STYQ Online” is a series of free online events. You may enjoy various lectures, panel discussions, workshops, as well as the work of video- artists of different genres and exhibitions.
The project was created with the support of the British Council as part of the Creative Producers program. The Creative Producers is a three-year British Council program aimed at promoting creative production in Central Asia (Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan).
“STYQ Online” is created based on the projects of Creative Producers Year 2 participants. The “STYQ Online” program will feature three main project sections that focus on immersion in specific topics:
- Project 1 - “MÁTIL”: the project is interested in practices in which the function of language is not limited to communication, including language activism, grassroots language initiatives and literary translations.
- Project 2 - "Depending": exploring the topic of human addiction by combining documentary theater, photography and video.
- Project 3 - “CIRCULO”: a multidisciplinary video project based on a music album.
Each of the project-sections will be a complex of formats with the inclusion of educational content as a basis for immersion in context.
