Background

Sam Gullam is an urban environment designer. During the past twenty years he has been engaged in designing street furniture, directional signs, public areas and transport systems.

Sam believes that a coordinated approach to developing information systems and infrastructure in spaces between buildings allows not only the improvement of a city’s image and perception of the place, but is of fundamental importance for the city's operation.

The British Urban Days project is implemented by the British Council with the support of Chevron and the GREAT Britain Campaign in collaboration with the MOST Business Incubator and Atomik Architecture as part of the creative industries development programme.
