Saturday 11 February 2017 to Wednesday 15 February 2017

The ARTiSHOCK experimental theatre presents its new performance Constellations, produced with support from the British Council, on 11, 12, 14 and 15 February in Almaty. The production is based on a play by the British dramatist Nick Payne and staged by the Russian director Boris Pavlovich.

Nick Payne’s play draws us into a quantum world, which is totally relative, pierced with strings, and rapidly expanding. But all the cutting-edge physics only aggravates the “given circumstances” of a love story, as old as our inhabited earthly world. Boris Pavlovich’s production is an open structure, a space for a psychologic experiment and the audience watches it from different points of view. “Different points of view” here is not merely an idiom, but a literary description of the set designed by Anton Bolkunov with quantum laws also in mind.

Venue: ARTiSHOCK Theatre, 49 Kunayev St., Almaty

Ticket price: KZT 4,500

Tickets are available online at and at the theatre’s book office from 13.00 to 19.00 on working days.
