The ARTiSHOCK experimental theatre presents its new performance Constellations, produced with support from the British Council, on 11, 12, 14 and 15 February in Almaty. The production is based on a play by the British dramatist Nick Payne and staged by the Russian director Boris Pavlovich.
Nick Payne’s play draws us into a quantum world, which is totally relative, pierced with strings, and rapidly expanding. But all the cutting-edge physics only aggravates the “given circumstances” of a love story, as old as our inhabited earthly world. Boris Pavlovich’s production is an open structure, a space for a psychologic experiment and the audience watches it from different points of view. “Different points of view” here is not merely an idiom, but a literary description of the set designed by Anton Bolkunov with quantum laws also in mind.
