On 13 - 21 May European Union National Institutes of Culture (EUNIC Almaty), in collaboration with Oleg Boretskiy’s Cinema Club, will present European Documentary Film Week at the CAESAR cinema.
Over the course of the week, 12 films from 12 European countries will be screened.
Film Week officially opens on 13 May with a special guest from Budapest – Hungarian director Somfai Kara Dávid. Mr. Kara Dávid's film “Vándorúton Ázsia szívébe” will be shown on the day of the opening.
Cinema-goers can look forward to a varied and entertaining programme of documentary films from Austria, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Poland, France, Switzerland and Estonia.
The films will be shown in the original language with Russian subtitles.

After-party for the audience of the "Amy" film
After the screening of the British film “Amy” there will be an after-party organised for the audience of the film, which will take place at the D.O.M. Almaty restaurant on 20 May from 21.00 to 00.00. Don’t miss a great opportunity to share your opinions about the film with other viewers, enjoy the music of Amy Winehouse and just have a relaxed Friday night.
