IELTS Results: Access your scores faster than ever

While most IELTS on computer tests results are available within 1-2 days, occasionally a test will need additional time to review to make sure your score is correct, and your ID details are correct.

We will send you email confirmation as soon as you Test Report Form (TRF) is ready for pick up. You can collect your TRF from the following locations

Please submit the original document of ID/passport when you come to collect the Test Report Form.

If you cannot collect your TRF in person, you can arrange for a third party to collect it by providing a third party ID card or Passport with your power of attorney and a copy of the Test Taker’s ID/Passport used on a test day.

If you live in another city, your TRF can be delivered by Pony Express to the following locations within Kazakhstan territory: Aktau, Aktobe, Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Zhezkazgan, Karaganda, Kokshetau, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Pavlodar, Petropavlovsk, Semey, Taldykorgan, Taraz, Uralsk, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Shymkent. This option must be requested when you register for your IELTS Speaking test, otherwise candidate is responsible for the delivery.

If you would like your Test Report Form to be sent overseas outside of Kazakhstan, you may arrange for a courier delivery. You will need to provide your courier service with candidate name, test date and tracking number (if available). Courier service is paid by candidate.

Please make sure to collect your Test Report Form within 3 months after the test date as all unclaimed certificates will be destroyed afterwards.

IELTS results will not be disclosed over the phone or through email.

If you lose your Test Report Form or forget your test results, please contact your test centre. There is a fee for the reissuance service - 15000 KZT.  

Please note that no amendments are allowed to TRF once results are released.

Institutions need original copies of your Test Report Form. Photocopies will not be accepted.

We can send up to five additional copies of your TRF directly to institutions you are applying to (for instance universities, immigration officers, etc.). If you would like us to do this, please include the relevant addresses on the Test taker portal within two years of taking the test.

Please do not forget to give the full postal address of the institution. Without the complete address we are not able to check whether the institution has access to the IELTS Test Report Form Verification Service that allows it to view your results after we have submitted them electronically.

In case they do not have access to this service, we will prepare a paper copy of the TRF. It can only be sent by courier directly to the institution. Courier service is paid by candidate.

If you want us to send another copy of your TRF to a recognising organisation in addition to the five copies we provide, you will need to pay an administration fee of 5000 KZT per each copy per each organization.

You will need to email us the following documents to info@kz.britishcouncil.org:

• Filled Application for Additional Test Report Form 
• A copy of your national ID or Passport
• Proof of payment

We will then send the TRF directly to the institution online.

If the institution you are applying to, do not have access to IELTS Test Report Form Verification Service, we will prepare a paper copy of the TRF. It can only be sent by courier directly to the institution. Courier service is paid by candidate.

Institutions can receive your score by contacting the IELTS online verification service. To do this they need your TRF number. This can be found in the lower right-hand corner of your TRF.

Please note that an additional Test Report Form takes around 7 working days to be processed.

You will be awarded an IELTS band score from 0-9 for each test section, which reflects your proficiency in English.

Your TRF shows a score for each of the four skills (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking), as well as an overall band score. You can score whole band scores (for example 5.0, 6.0, 7.0) or half band scores (e.g. 5.5, 6.5, 7.5) in each section of the test.

Organisations will usually not accept your results if they are more than two years old, unless you provide evidence that you have actively maintained or tried to improve your English since taking the test. The IELTS Partners cannot confirm the validity of test results that are more than two years old.

If you did not receive the score you expected, you can apply for your test to be re-marked. This is called an Enquiry on Results (EOR). You can choose which test sections you want to be re-marked and will need to request this at the test centre where you sat the test.

The fee for this service is 42 000 KZT, which will be refunded if your score is increased for any section of the test.

You need to apply for a re-marking no later than six weeks after the test date, regardless of whether you have taken IELTS on Paper or IELTS on Computer.

IELTS on Computer, IELTS on Paper, and IELTS for UKVI on Computer: You can submit and pay for an Enquiry on Results online from the Test Taker Portal.

IELTS for UKVI on Paper, and IELTS for UKVI Life Skills: If you have taken an IELTS for UKVI on Paper or IELTS for UKVI Life Skills test and would like to apply for an Enquiry on Results, please download the Enquiry on Results Form from the download section below and submit it to the test centre where you sat the test. Make sure you attach your proof of payment.

The outcome of Enquiry of Results (EORs) can become available on the same day as your application and up to 21 days after your application. The time it takes depends on several factors, including the number of sections you’ve asked us to re-mark. If you have not received a response after 21 days, please contact your test centre.

There are no restrictions on re-taking IELTS. You can book a test as soon as you feel you are ready to do so.

Please note that your score is unlikely to increase unless you make a significant effort to improve your English before re-taking the test. Visit the Preparation section to take a practice test and assess your level.
