Sardor Gaziev

State Young Spectator’s Theatre, external relations manager, Tashkent

Sardor Gaziev works as an assistant to the stage director and as external relations manager holding the position of the associate member of the International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People (ASSITEJ) in Uzbekistan. Before 2017, he worked as a deputy director of OXUS Culture LLP. While working at OXUS Culture, he participated in multiple cultural projects and provided support to initiatives related to culture and arts. As part of the cooperation with international organisations and local authorities, he was engaged in educational events related to management in culture. In 2017, Mr Gaziev was one of the organisers of the First Forum of Art Managers of Central Asia in Bishkek, participated in the Open Culture forum in Korea, worked on organising international tours for Uzbek performers.

 

Sarvar Tukhtaev

Abstract Visuals Production Agency, creative producer and main screenwriter, Tashkent 

Creative producer and main screenwriter of Abstract Visuals Production Agency. Photographer and Men of Culture co-founder. Sarvar Tukhtaev has always been interested in art. After strong involvement in photography and cinematography he has started working as a freelance screenwriter with the future founder of Abstract Visuals, becoming the major screenwriter of the agency. Starting with writing the scripts, Sarvar has greatly integrated into the creative sphere and started enlarging the sphere of actions. So, the Men of Cultutre creative union has been created, where more and more initiative people may collaborate and create the brand new original projects.

 

Shakhnoza Karimbabaeva

Bonum Factum Gallery, founder, Tashkent

In 2000, Shakhnoza worked as a chief specialist for managing museums and cultural organisations at the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan. For nine years before setting up her gallery, she was director of the Tashkent House of Photography at the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. In 2002-2014, she was director of the Tashkent International Photo Biennale. In 2007, she initiated the International Festival of Contemporary Photography and Video Art. She took part in the publication of several photography books, including 125 Years of Uzbek Photography, Samarqand, The History of One City: Tashkent, and Langar. In 2008, she took a course in management and leadership at the Presidential Academy for Building up the State and Society. In 2010, Shakhnoza founded the Bonum Factum (ArtandFact) Gallery. In 2018, she took a course at the Victoria and Albert Museum (London, UK).

Timur Kamalov

Intelligent PerceptionFounder and Managing Director, Tashkent

Working in various public bodies including foreign affairs, tourism and culture with background in international relations, Timur participated as a delegate in Creative Central Asia 2017 and became member of a strategy group of the Conference since 2018. Today he dedicates his work to implementing leading educational programs aimed to developing soft skills among K-12 group. 

 

Ulugbek Holmuradov

Holmuradov Design bureau, architect, founder, Tashkent

In 2010 founded the bureau Holmuradov Design. The bureau is engaged in the design of architecture, interiors, furniture and jewelry. Member of many domestic and foreign exhibitions. In 2006, the POPolam exhibition, together with the ceramist Anush Avakyan. In 2007, the POPolam project was shown on the IV Tashkent Biennale. Since 2014, for three consecutive years, Holmuradov Design has participated in the exhibition of the Korean furniture association KOFUSO.In 2015, Ulugbek Holmuradov initiated the creation of the creative community ADP / Architects & Designers Platform /. In 2019, the ADP community, together with KNAUF Uzbekistan, held the first independent architectural award, MEMORAWARDS.Today he is the director of Holmuradov Design LLC, the architect at Holmuradov Architects, the chairman of ADP / Architects & Designers Platform / LLC.

Valeria Skulkova

Art community "Freelance", producer, Tashkent 

She belongs to the theatre industry since 2007,  she graduated from a school-studio at the Russian Theatre of Uzbekistan, played more than 15 roles in theatre and cinema, then she continued her education at the Tashkent State University of Arts and Culture at the Department of Theatre Arts. She participated in theatre festivals in St. Petersburg twice, as well as in various independent art projects as a producer. She took part in organizing a tour of the Tbilisi State Russian Drama Theatre named after Griboedov within the “Silver Age of Russian Culture” project with the play “I am Nikolai Gumilyov” in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) and Alma-Ata (Kazakhstan).

 

Vladislav Dostavalov

Musician, graphic designer, Tashkent

Graduated from Business Information Systems department of Westminster International University in Tashkent and has 10 years of experience in graphic design and art direction in web, app and mobile games development. He is a bass guitarist in rock band called Flyin Up.Vladislav is obsessed with the idea of combining his IT skills with music and design into complex art. 

 

Yelena Tskhai

Human House art gallery, event manager, Tashkent 

Yelena Tskhai is an event manager at the Human House art gallery. Yelena organises solo exhibitions of Uzbek artists, screenings of films by Uzbek directors, as well as meetings with artists, concerts, and masterclasses in crafts. Yelena holds a degree in philosophy from the Philosophy and Economic Department of Tashkent State University. She also studied management and accounting at the School of Business in Tashkent. In 2014-2018, Yelena organised events at the Raduga, Barkamol and Kueshli summer camps, including intellectual and cultural projects for children, opening and closing ceremonies, and ethnic activities at an international scout camp (Uzbekistan – U.K.).
