Galina Koretskaya
British Council Kazakhstan, Head of Arts and Creative Economy, Almaty
Galina joined the British Council in 2014 to lead our work in the arts, showcasing the best of UK theatre and music events, coordinating new visual arts exhibitions and developing capacity building programmes and policy dialogue initiatives in support of the creative and cultural economy. In summer 2017, she developed Future Creative, the UK’s cultural programme for EXPO in Astana and more recently she helped bring the V&A’s Jameel Prize to the Kasteyev Museum in Almaty. She has also played a leading role in founding the ‘Transforma’ cultural venue within Almaty’s new creative hub, SmArt.Point. She began her career as an account manager at the Saatchi & Saatchi advertising agency in 2005 before completing her MA in theatre arts management at the Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno, Czech Republic in 2011.

Gulmira Pazilova
Artmeken Gallery, Director, Almaty
Gulmira has worked in marketing and project management for years. In 2017, she co-founded Artmeken, a contemporary art gallery and cultural space. Since foundation, Gulmira has been the gallery’s director responsible for its development strategy, financial management, analysis, and project management. Her professional interests are cultural marketing, cultural and art communications, promotion of cultural projects for the general public and in the market, as well as the creation and implementation of projects relating to culture and arts. In cooperation with the Soros Foundation-Kazakhstan, the gallery arranged exhibitions in Almaty and Nur-Sultan about human rights in Kazakhstan. In 2019, it partnered with Carlsberg in holding its Portrait Now! 2019 competition and Halyk Bank in running its Halyk Art Prize for artists.

Khanshaiym Zhauken
AlmatyGenPlan, Research Manager, Almaty
Khanshaiym Zhauken is a Research Manager at the research institute AlmatyGenPlan, where she collects and interprets data, oversees feldwork initiatives, and acts as a consultant for a variety of transport infrastructure and public space development projects. As a member of the Vision Zero Almaty Development Committee, she leads the analysis of traffic fatalities and their causes in the City of Almaty. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in economics at the University of Warwick.

Konstantin Gorozhankin
Entrepreneur, Almaty
Konstantin is a co-founder of Processing.kz (leader of Internet acquiring in Kazakhstan built on U.S. investment), Ticketon.kz (80% of tickets to theatres, concerts, cinemas, and sports events sold in Central Asia), 103apteka.kz (an online pharmacy), Goup.kz (an online educational portal), and other projects. He is also the President of the Association of Kazakhstan’s Internet Businesses. Konstantin worked on istartup.kz, Kazakhstan’s first start-up accelerator (2012-2016), the imix.kz and iprof.kz Internet conferences (2012-2018), and the award.kz national Internet award (1999-2017). For nine years, he worked in banking as a software developer and author of mobile banking, text messaging, and P2P transfer projects.

Ksenia Yuzhaninova-Karadenizli
School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Almaty Management University), Executive Director, Almaty
Ksenia Yuzhaninova-Karadenizli joined Almaty Management University in 2014 as a Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation development. Within 5 years SEI became a pioneer in shaping an academic ecosystem for the entrepreneurial education in Kazakhstan. School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation designed and promoted the tool kit to boost entrepreneurial education among Academics and Students for the country, along with piloting the first undergraduate degree in Entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan, as well as leading the regional University-Business project " The Ecosystem of Students Entrepreneurship". In 2018, SEI of AlmaU, together with the University of Northampton ( UK) received a grant from Creative Spark to support fashion entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan.

Magzhan Samatuly
Culture and Sports of Nur-Sultan, Head of a department, Nur-Sultan
Magzhan Samatuly was born on 7 January 1990 in Almaty (Kazakhstan). He graduated from Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts in 2013 and obtained his Master of Arts degree in 2016. Magzhan is currently the acting head of a department at the Culture and Sports Department of Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan).

Malika Autalipova
Adamdar/CA, Co-founder, Almaty
Having graduated from City, University London (UK), Malika returned to Almaty where she worked in marketing for several years. In 2018, she and Timur Nusimbekov co-founded the Adamdar/CA multimedia platform telling about people and places in Central Asia. Today, Adamdar/CA’s website is available in three languages and read in more than 60 countries. As a co-founder, Malika is responsible for many areas of work, including visual content, communications, and project management.
