Evaluation specialists needed
The British Council in Kazakhstan is pleased to invite tenders from evaluation specialists to evaluate and assess the impact of the “WeAlmaty” project in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The consultant will evaluate the project to assess the extent to which it has met its objectives and intended results and to evaluate that the deliverables were achieved. S/he will also identify areas of success and learning in the project that could be developed further and taken forward as a legacy of the WeAlmaty project.
WeAlmaty is designed and run by a consortium made up of the British Council, the Kazakh-British Technical University, Almaty Akimat (City Council) and the Almaty Development Centre. It is funded by a grant from the European Union. The British Council is the project manager with overall responsibilities to report to the European Commission.
WeAlmaty is a three-year initiative that aims to help the city of Almaty to realise its 2020 development vision around culture, business and active citizenship by supporting local authority leaders to work with civil society. It supports new forms of cooperation, skills development and joint action between civil society organisations, local authorities and the private sector, particularly social enterprises, to strengthen civic engagement and build shared understandings of changes that are happening in Almaty, and to support social innovations in Almaty that can help to improved economic and social outcomes for people living in the city.
