Going Global

Going Global is an annual conference hosted by the British Council, which offers an open forum for global leaders of international education to discuss current issues. Since 2004, it has grown from a biennial event in the UK to an annual event alternating between the UK and major international cities. The event provides an opportunity for networking, and has become a fixture of the global education calendar. The conference consists of a series of collaborative sessions that focus on the year’s chosen themes.

Over 1,000 registered delegates from across the tertiary (further and higher) education sectors and various other sectors with perspectives on international education attend each year.

Going Global 2015 London

Going Global attracts policy-makers, professionals and practitioners from within the international education community. We are therefore seeking proposals that will facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experience around the conference themes. We welcome unique perspectives, and are especially interested to hear about practical examples of how you have anticipated and responded to challenges and opportunities in your own work. Successful proposals will link policy and practice, for example by explaining how specific experiences in the education sector have informed policy developments.

The call for proposals for speakers, chair people and guest curators at Going Global 2015 is now closed. You can still submit a proposal for a poster presentation until Friday 30 January 2015.

Your summary should respond to one or more of the questions under your preferred theme.

Registration for Going Global 2015 opens on Monday 9 February 2015 and you will be able to register via the Going Global website. Discounted early bird rates are available for the first five weeks after which standard rates apply. You can receive more detailed information following this link.
