Jameel Prize 4 shows the exciting and thought-provoking work of the 11 contemporary artists and designers who were finalists for the fourth Jameel Prize. Countries as diverse as Brazil, Egypt and Pakistan are represented.
This international touring exhibition was organised by the Victoria and Albert Museum (UK) in partnership with Art Jameel, and it has come to the A. Kasteyev State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan with support from the British Council Kazakhstan.
Artists & Designers
Leading curators, designers, artists and cultural figures from across the world were invited to nominate applicants to the Jameel Prize.
V&A’s Islamic Art Collection
The V&A has specialised in collecting Islamic art since the 1850s, and was the first institution in the world to collect Islamic art as part of a mission to reform British industrial design.
